The Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA), established in 1958, is the internationally-recognised training arm of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. Diploma in Airport Engineering, 31 Jul – 29 Sep 2017
This diploma combines academic knowledge with practical applications in the field of airport engineering. It provides you with an understanding of airport related engineering responsibilities, airport development and maintenance requirements.
6th World Civil Aviation Chief Executives Forum, 11 to 13 July 2017
The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) organised its 6th World Civil Aviation Chief Executives Forum (WCACEF) from 11 to 13 July 2017. The event was attended by over 150 aviation leaders from 75 countries and 14 international and regional organisations. Themed “Advancing Aviation; Fortifying Fundamentals”, the Forum discussed the core challenges facing the aviation industry and how leaders can seek opportunities to develop sustainable strategies to shape the future of aviation.
SAA re-certified as ICAO RTCE and Chairs TPSC, 11 April 2017
SAA has been re-certified as an ICAO Regional Training Centre of Excellence (RTCE) for the next three years. On 11 April 2017, the RTCE plaque was presented to SAA at the ICAO Global Aviation Training and TRAINAIR PLUS Symposium held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 11th to 13th April 2017.
3rd Singapore Aviation Safety Seminars, 28 - 30 March 2017
SAA is proud to have worked with Flight Safety Foundation (FSF) to jointly organise the 3rd Annual Singapore Aviation Safety Seminars (SASS) from 28 to 30 March 2017. Over the three days, more than 140 aviation safety experts from 17 countries congregated at SAA to discuss and exchange ideas on new initiatives to improve global aviation safety.
