The Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA), established in 1958, is the internationally-recognised training arm of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. It offers a wide range of operational and management programmes that benchmark international standards and best practices to meet the training needs of the global aviation community. SAA is an ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Full Member, ICAO-endorsed Government Safety Inspector Training Centre, ICAO Aviation Security Training Centre and ICAO Regional Training Centre of Excellence.
Upcoming Programmes

Aviation Security: Auditing Techniques and Developing Security Manuals, 19 – 23 Jan 2015
This course provides participants with a better understanding of the global aviation security framework as well as guidance on developing effective auditing plans for their organisation.

Air Traffic Services Resource Management and Training Workshop, 26 Jan – 6 Feb 2015
This workshop provides an in-depth understanding of Air Traffic Services (ATS) resource management, including staff recruitment, ICAO licensing standards and requirements, ATC training plan and on-the-job training.

Economics and Finance (A module of MSc in ATM), 9 – 11 Feb 2015 
This course provides participants with a sound understanding of economic concepts which are particularly relevant to decision-making in the air transport industry.

Research Methods (A module of MSc in ATM), 12 – 14 Feb 2015
This course provides participants with the fundamentals of research practice and develops the skills necessary for them to undertake management research in a systematic and scientific manner.

Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation: ICAO Annex 13 Report Writing, 23 – 27 Feb 2015
This course provides participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to write clear, concise and technically correct investigation reports in accordance with the International Civil Aviation Organization's Annex 13 (International Accident Investigation) standards.

Legal Principles for Aviation Regulators and Managers, 23 – 27 Mar 2015
This course provides regulators and managers with fundamental knowledge and understanding of legal principles and procedures as applied in various legal systems.

Inaugural ICAO-SAA DGCAs Course on Aviation Safety – 21 to 22 November 2014
SAA was privileged to work with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to jointly organise the inaugural DGCAs Course on Aviation Safety on 21 - 22 November 2014, hosted by Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department, just ahead of the 51st DGCA Conference held in Hong Kong.

5th CAAS-AFCAC Onsite Programme in Lusaka, Zambia - Flight Operations Inspectors Course - 10 to 14 November 2014
SAA conducted its 5th CAAS-African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) Onsite Programme in Lusaka, Zambia from 10 to 14 November 2014. It was attended by 41 participants from 13 AFCAC States.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU)-Asia in partnership with SAA organised the 3rd Commencement Ceremony for the graduates of 2014 on Saturday, 8 November 2014.
