The Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA), established in 1958, is the internationally-recognised training arm of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. It offers a wide range of operational and management programmes that benchmark international standards and best practices to meet the training needs of the global aviation community. SAA is an ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Full Member, ICAO-endorsed Government Safety Inspector Training Centre and ICAO Aviation Security Training Centre.
Upcoming Programmes

Changed Product Rule (jointly organised with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), US), 8 - 9 Sep 2014
This course provides an overview of the basic concepts of CPR and the implementation of the FAA Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) Part 21.101 regulations.

Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft (SAFA) Initial and Practical Inspectors Training (jointly organised with JAA Training Organisation), 15 – 18 Sep 2014
This course provides participants with a good understanding of the mandatory EU training requirements, basic EU and ICAO regulations (Annexes 1 - Personnel Licensing, 6 - Operation of Aircraft and Annex 8 - Airworthiness of Aircraft) as well as the inspection items on the SAFA inspection checklist.

Cabin Safety Workshop – Crashworthiness (jointly organised with FAA, US), 29 Sep – 3 Oct 2014
This course provides an understanding of the considerations necessary when designing safe and crashworthy aircraft so as to eliminate injuries and fatalities in mild impacts and minimise them in severe but survivable impacts.

ICAO Wildlife Hazard Management Seminar – 14 to 16 May 2014
A total of 65 participants from 15 States took part in the ICAO Wildlife Hazard Management Seminar, organised by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in association with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).
