The Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA), established in 1958, is the internationally-recognised training arm of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. Aspiring to be a top aviation academy in the world, SAA offers a wide range of operational and management programmes that benchmark international standards and best practices to meet the training needs of the global aviation community. SAA offers four main streams of aviation training through its four specialised schools:

Upcoming Programmes

The Airport Business (Jointly organised with Cranfield University), 26 – 28 Sep 2016
This course provides you with the knowledge and relevant skills set required solving airport business management problems within the aeronautical business context and commercial or non- aeronautical context.

Aerodrome Safety Operations(Jointly organised with UK Civil Aviation Authority International), 10 – 12 Oct 2016
This course provides you with an insight into the safety practices and the complexities of aerodrome operations.

Upset Prevention and Recovery Training(UPRT) Workshop (Jointly organised with Federal Aviation Administration(FAA),US), 17 – 18 Oct 2016
This workshop provides you with an understanding of the fundamentals of Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) to enhance commercial aviation safety.

Air Disasters: Crisis Planning and Business Continuity Management, 7 – 11 Nov 2016
This course provides you with the fundamental tools on crisis planning and response after an air disaster and is led by a team of professionals with practical knowledge and experience in crisis planning.

On 17 August 2016, the Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) presented a talk under the SAA Aviation Insight Series (AvIS) on “Emergency Preparedness: Airport Exercise Planning”, attended by over 60 aviation professionals.

The first ever Asia Pacific Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) Symposium was recently held at the Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) on 31 May - 1 June 2016.

Commissioning Ceremony of the Enhanced Airport Foam Tender Driving Simulator, 23 May 2016
The Enhanced Airport Foam Tender Driving Simulator (EAFTDS) was commissioned on 23 May 2016, by Mr Kevin Shum, Director-General, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and Mr Lee Seow Hiang, Chief Executive Officer, Changi Airport Group, in an unveiling ceremony at the Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA).
