The Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA), established in 1958, is the internationally-recognised training arm of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. Aspiring to be a top aviation academy in the world, SAA offers a wide range of operational and management programmes that benchmark international standards and best practices to meet the training needs of the global aviation community. SAA offers four main streams of aviation training through its four specialised schools:

Upcoming Programmes

Aviation Maintenance and Continuing Airworthiness Auditors (jointly organised with LTT), 15 – 19 May 2017
This course provides you with a detailed understanding of the EASA requirements and principles of a quality management system (QMS), which includes quality audits, for an effective and efficient implementation or application in the organisation.

EASA Part 21 SubPart J – Design Organisation Approvals (jointly organised with UK CAAi), 29 – 30 May 2017
This course provides you with an understanding of Part 21 Subpart J and associated topics such as changes to type design, supplementary type certificates, modifications and repairs.

EASA Maintenance Requirements - Part M/ Part 145 / Part 66 (jointly organised with LTT), 29 May – 1 Jun 2017
The course provides you with knowledge about an operator’s responsibilities and the requirements applicable for aircraft continuing airworthiness and maintenance.

EASA Part 21 SubPart G - Production Organisation Approvals (jointly organised with UK CAAi), 31 May – 1 Jun 2017
This course provides you with an understanding of Part 21 Subpart G and associated advisory material, including how a production organisation exposition is constructed.

Industry Talks by SAA, 16 & 17 February 2017
In conjunction with the Inter Airport South East Asia 2017 held at Singapore Expo on 16th and 17th February 2017, the Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) organised its Industry Talks by SAA covering airside operations topics on Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) and Airfield Lighting Systems (ALS). Both talks were well received and attracted more than 200 local and international aviation professionals.

CAAS and NUS Collaborate to Enhance Aviation Training, 16 November 2016
The joint collaboration will deliver programmes with the objective of enhancing the aviation workforce’s competencies in operational excellence and strategic thinking.

SAA Aviation Insight Series on Reaching Out: Next-of-kin (NOK) Communication Strategies and Media Relations, 26 August 2016
On 26th August 2016, SAA held its 4th Aviation Insight Series (AvIS) talk for the year, attracting some 70 participants to learn more on the topic of “Reaching Out: Next-of-kin (NOK) Communication Strategies and Media Relations”.
