The Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA), established in 1958, is the internationally-recognised training arm of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. Aspiring to be a top aviation academy in the world, SAA offers a wide range of operational and management programmes that benchmark international standards and best practices to meet the training needs of the global aviation community. SAA offers four main streams of aviation training through its four specialised schools:

Introduction to Air Law, 3 – 7 Jul 2017
This course equips and updates you with the fundamental concepts of air law. It also explains how air law developments impact airport and airline businesses with an emphasis on the regulation of air carriers, airports, aerospace organisations and aircraft operations.

Diploma in Airport Engineering, 31 Jul – 29 Sep 2017
This diploma combines academic knowledge with practical applications in the field of airport engineering. It provides you with an understanding of airport related engineering responsibilities, airport development and maintenance requirements.

Crisis Management in Aviation Security Workshop, 31 Jul – 4 Aug 2017
This workshop provides you with an overview of international aviation security (AVSEC) conventions, regulations and principles.

SAA re-certified as ICAO RTCE and Chairs TPSC, 11 April 2017
SAA has been re-certified as an ICAO Regional Training Centre of Excellence (RTCE) for the next three years. On 11 April 2017, the RTCE plaque was presented to SAA at the ICAO Global Aviation Training and TRAINAIR PLUS Symposium held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 11th to 13th April 2017.

3rd Singapore Aviation Safety Seminars, 28 - 30 March 2017
SAA is proud to have worked with Flight Safety Foundation (FSF) to jointly organise the 3rd Annual Singapore Aviation Safety Seminars (SASS) from 28 to 30 March 2017. Over the three days, more than 140 aviation safety experts from 17 countries congregated at SAA to discuss and exchange ideas on new initiatives to improve global aviation safety.

SAA Aviation Insight Series on Trends and Development in the Airline Sector in Southeast Asia, 23 March 2017
On 23 February 2017, SAA held its first Aviation Insight Series (AvIS) for 2017, which attracted some 60 participants. We were very fortunate to have, Mr. Brendan Sobie, Chief Analyst and Chief Representative of Southeast Asia for Centre of Aviation (CAPA), as our speaker. Ms Margaret Tan, Director of Air Transport, moderated the dialogue session.
