More than 130 aviation professionals gathered at the Singapore Aviation Academy on 28 April 2010 to attend the SAA Aviation Insight Series. Mr Graham Lake, Director General of Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) delivered a talk on the topic “After the Dust Settles: Lessons from the Volcanic Ash Crisis and Implications for Global Aviation”.
CANSO has been a key player in dealing with sudden crisis confronting aviation caused by Icelandic volcanic eruption. Mr Graham Lake, CANSO’s Director General, shared his perspective on civil aviation‘s handling of the crisis and its implications for Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) and the wider international aviation community.
The programme ended with a dialogue session with Mr Graham Lake, moderated by Mr Pok Cheng Chong, Deputy Director of SAA.
