Master of Business Administration in Aviation graduates equip to take on Singapore’s vibrant aviation industry - 15 December 2012
Singapore – On 15 December 2012, an inaugural cohort of 19 students graduated with a Master of Business Administration in Aviation (MBAA), from the Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA). 
CAAS On-site Programme : Audit Techniques for Lead Auditors Course – 12 to 16 November 2012
SAA recently conducted an on-site training programme, Audit Techniques for Lead Auditors Course in Tonga from 12 to 16 November 2012, for 18 participants from the Ministry of Infrastructure and the aviation industry in Tonga.

Latin American Civil Aviation Council (LACAC) On-site Training – Seminar on Airport Certification
The on-site training organised by SAA was recently concluded in Cali, Colombia from 1- 4 October 2012. This was the 6th run of the joint efforts between the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and LACAC to extend training to the Latin America States. 
SAA is now a full member of the TRAINAIR PLUS programme
The inaugural International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) TRAINAIR PLUS Global Symposium, hosted by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) was opened in Raffles City Convention Centre, Singapore on 25 Sept 2012.  
New aviation-related e-books added to SAA’s e-books collection – 13 September 2012
With effect from 13 September 2012, 14 new aviation-related e-books have been added to SAA’s e-books collection!  
New Air Traffic Control (ATC) training simulator added to SAA’s suite of training facilities – 3 September 2012
On 3 September, the commissioning ceremony of our latest Air Traffic Control (ATC) simulator, the Long Range Radar and Display System (LORADS) III was held at SAA. 
SAA Cultural Night 2012
An annual tradition of SAA since 1994, the SAA Cultural Night is a time to celebrate friendships beyond borders, and was attended by over 100 participants from 45 countries this year. 
6th Meeting of the SAA Advisory Board (SAB) on 21 August 2012
The 6th Meeting of the SAA Advisory Board (SAB) took place on 21 August 2012. Chaired by Mr Wong Woon Liong, Senior Advisor, Changi Airport Group, this year’s SAB Meeting saw a robust discussion and sharing of ideas on the role and focus of SAA.  
10th Anniversary Celebrations of Integrated Safety Management Systems (ISMS) Course - 14 June 2012
On 14 June 2012, SAA commemorated the 10th Anniversary of the Integrated Safety Management Systems (ISMS) Course with a celebratory dinner held at the Kallang Hall, SAA. About 30 guests, comprising the course speakers, participants of this year’s course and alumni of the previous ISMS courses, attended the dinner.  
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Singapore Aviation Academy and the Civil Aviation Management Institute of China (CAMIC)
On 23 May 2012, the Singapore Aviation Academy inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Civil Aviation Management Institute of China (CAMIC) in Beijing China. CAMIC is a tertiary institute specializing in aviation education and training, directly reporting to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).

CAAS On-site Programme : Fundamentals of Safety Management Systems (FSMS) - 19 - 22 March 2012
SAA recently conducted an on-site training programme, Fundamentals of Safety Management Systems (FSMS) Course for the Palau National Aviation Administration (PNAA) in Airai, Palau from 19 to 22 March 2012. The course provided an overview of the SMS concepts and regulations, hazard identification, safety risk management and SMS operation requirements. 
CAAS-AFCAC Onsite Programme: Airworthiness Seminar and Alumni Gathering Reception held in Accra, Ghana – 5 to 9 March 2012
Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) recently conducted an on-site training programme, Airworthiness Seminar at the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) Training Academy in Accra, Ghana from 5 to 9 March 2012. This was the second on-site training programme conducted by SAA under the collaboration MOU between Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC). 
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) on the joint development and delivery of specialised, aviation-focused programmes – 17 February 2012
On 17 February 2012, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) concluded collaborative agreements with three internationally renowned Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), namely Cranfield University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) and Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP).  
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) – 13 February 2012
On 13 February 2012, The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) signed an MOU on aviation safety co-operation, signed by Executive Director of the European Aviation Safety Agency Mr Patrick Goudou and the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, Mr Yap Ong Heng.
