SAA hosted the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) Asia Commencement Ceremony on 7 December 2013 for Cohorts 2 & 3 of the Master of Business Administration in Aviation (MBAA), in collaboration with ERAU. Out of 30 graduands from the 2 cohorts, 26 attended the ceremony and 11 graduated with Distinction – having a Grade Point Average of 4.0. A student graduating with the degree of Master of Aeronautical Science (MAS) from ERAU (Worldwide) also attended the ceremony.
The ceremony was officially opened by Dr John Watret, Chancellor of ERAU Worldwide. The Guest-of-Honour, Mr Campbell Wilson, CEO, Scoot, delivered the commencement address and was presented with the Distinguished Speaker Award by ERAU. Mr Laphang Chung, the student speaker, took the opportunity to express his gratitude towards his lecturers, classmates as well as ERAU and SAA for the fruitful learning journey.

I would like to make special mention of Matthew Flaherty our Executive Director of Enrollment & Campus Operations and Ms Belinda Ang who is the Head of the Singapore Aviation Academy’s School of Aviation Management. These two people over the past 24 months have worked tirelessly to ensure that the learning environment here at the SAA and throughout the whole program has been conducive to producing the academic outcomes we see today.”
