More than 190 delegates from 22 countries attended the Cabin Safety Seminar hosted by Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) from 19 to 21 November 2013. The seminar was jointly organised by the ICAO Asian Cooperative Development of Operational Safety and Continuing Airworthiness Programme (COSCAP) and Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).
Presented by 29 different speakers, the seminar provided a platform for the sharing and discussion of current issues, improvements and new challenges related to cabin safety. At the end of the 3-day seminar, delegates walked away with a better understanding of cabin safety aircraft certifications, cabin crew training and operations and of lessons learnt from past accidents. The delegates, mostly from civil aviation administrations and the aviation industry, also took the opportunity to network with fellow cabin safety professionals from various parts of the world.
