Inaugural ICAO-SAA DGCAs Course on Aviation Safety – 21 to 22 November 2014
SAA was privileged to work with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to jointly organise the inaugural DGCAs Course on Aviation Safety on 21 - 22 November 2014, hosted by Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department, just ahead of the 51st DGCA Conference held in Hong Kong.  
5th CAAS-AFCAC Onsite Programme in Lusaka, Zambia - Flight Operations Inspectors Course - 10 to 14 November 2014
SAA conducted its 5th CAAS-African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) Onsite Programme in Lusaka, Zambia from 10 to 14 November 2014. It was attended by 41 participants from 13 AFCAC States.  
Onsite Training Programme: Customised Aircraft Accident Investigation Techniques, Mexico City, Mexico - 10 to 14 November 2014
SAA conducted the Customised Aircraft Accident Investigation Techniques Course for the Direccion General of Aeronautica Civil (DGAC), Mexico City, Mexico from 10 to 14 November 2014. A total of 24 participants from Mexico DGCA attended the on-site training programme.  
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Asia Commencement Ceremony – 8 November 2014
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU)-Asia in partnership with SAA organised the 3rd Commencement Ceremony for the graduates of 2014 on Saturday, 8 November 2014.  
Celebratory Launch of the Master of Science in Air Transport Management - 3 November 2014
On 3 November 2014, SAA celebrated the Launch of the Master of Science (MSc) in Air Transport Management conducted by Cranfield University in association with SAA.  
SAA Aviation Insight Series on Cooperation and Data: The Importance of International Data Sharing in Advancing Aviation Safety - 3 November 2014
Under the auspices of the SAA Aviation Insight Series, over 75 participants from the aviation industry attended the talk by Mr Jon Beatty, President and CEO of the Flight Safety Foundation on the Cooperation and Data: The Importance of International Data Sharing in Advancing Aviation Safety on 3 November 2014.  
SAA Aviation Insight Series on Ground Control to Major Tom: Commercial Spaceflight – 18 September 2014
As part of the SAA Aviation Insight Series, the session on Ground Control to Major Tom: Commercial Spaceflight was presented by Dr Gérardine Goh Escolar, Legal Adviser to the President, Iran-United States Claims Tribunal.  
CAAS-LACAC On-site Programme - Seminar on Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation, Lima Peru - 11 to 15 August 2014
A total of 30 professionals from 10 Latin America States attended the Seminar on Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation in Lima, Peru from 11 to 15 August 2014. 
CAAS signs Annex 1 to the Singapore-ICAO MOU on Co-operation in Leadership and Management Training - 7 August 2014
On 7 August 2014, Mr Raymond Benjamin, Secretary-General of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and Mr Yap Ong Heng, Director-General of CAAS, signed the Annex 1 to the Singapore-ICAO Memorandum of Understanding on Co-operation (MOU) in Leadership and Management Training.  
Inauguration of SAA as an ICAO Regional Training Centre of Excellence and ICAO Aviation Security Training Centre - 4 August 2014
Mr Raymond Benjamin, Secretary General of ICAO, graced the ceremony by signing the RTCE Memorandum of Understanding and unveiling the RTCE plaque with Mr Yap Ong Heng, Director-General, CAAS. He also presented Mr Yap with the RTCE and ASTC certificates.

Seminar on Building Air Traffic Management Capacity – 20 to 22 May 2014
The Singapore Aviation Academy(SAA) and Ecole Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC) jointly conducted the inaugural “Seminar on Building Air Traffic Management Capacity” from 20 to 22 May 2014. 
SAA Alumni Gathering @ Sri Lanka, 8 May 2014
On 8 May 2014, SAA brought together some 30 alumni from Sri Lanka for a gathering in Colombo. Organised as part of SAA’s efforts to engage with overseas course participants, our alumni reminisced and rekindled their ties over a sumptuous seafood buffet at Hilton Hotel. 
ICAO Wildlife Hazard Management Seminar – 14 to 16 May 2014
A total of 65 participants from 15 States took part in the ICAO Wildlife Hazard Management Seminar, organised by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in association with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).

SAA-EASA Composite Materials Seminar – 14 to 16 April 2014
The Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) recently organised the inaugural SAA-EASA Composite Materials Seminar held at the SAA on 14 to 16 April 2014. A total of 136 local and overseas participants from 43 aviation organisations took part in the seminar.  
CAAS On-site Programme: Auditing Techniques for Regulators Course - 17 to 21 March 2014
SAA conducted its second onsite training programme in Palau from 17 to 21 March 2014. The Auditing Techniques for Regulators Course gave participants an understanding of the fundamental requirements, principles and practices of auditing related to the safety oversight obligations undertaken by civil aviation authorities in response to the ICAO requirements for States to implement an effective regulatory and safety oversight system.  
Collaborations Forged with ICAO, Certis CISCO and Training Institutions in China and Trinidad & Tobago, 9 February 2014
SAA has forged further collaboration with partners from Singapore as well as overseas, with four Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) in training collaboration being sealed recently.
