SAA Aviation Insight Series on Assessment of Aircraft Engine Fires – Impact and Opportunities for Aircraft Rescue and Fire-Fighting - 23 May 2014

A total of 67 professionals, from the airline and aviation industry attended the SAA Aviation Insight Series on Assessment of Aircraft Engine Fires – Impact and Opportunities for Aircraft Rescue and Fire-Fighting on 23 May 2014. Sharing the session was Mr Bernard Valois, Former Chief, Aircraft Rescue & Fire-fighting, Transport Canada. Mr Nazri Bamadhaj, Principal Instructor, School of Airport Emergency Services moderated the question and answer session after the talk.

Mr Valois shared some of his insightful and knowledgeable experiences on developing educational materials on failure of aircraft engine and fire events. The session also provided an assessment of aircraft engine fire impact and opportunities for aircraft rescue and fire-fighting.
