Aviation Insight Series on Managing Human Capital and Changes in Aviation, 2 November 2017
On 2nd November 2017, SAA held its 5th Aviation Insight Series (AvIS) talk for the year, attracting some 30 attendees from the Singapore aviation industry 
Symposium on Airfield Infrastructure of Airports, 2 - 3 October 2017
SAA successfully conducted the inaugural run of the Symposium on Airfield Infrastructure of Airports – Engineering and Future Development (SAIA 2017) from 2 to 3 October 2017. The 2-day Symposium is supported by CAG and NUS.  
Aviation Insight Series on Research and Advancing Aviation, 27 September 2017
On 27th September 2017, SAA held its 4th Aviation Insight Series (AvIS) talk for the year, attracting some 62 attendees from the Singapore aviation industry. 
1st Asia Pacific Workshop on Flying at High Altitude under Adverse Weather Conditions, 12 – 13 Oct 2017
Jointly organised by Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), with the support of Airbus and Boeing, the first Asia Pacific workshop on flying at high altitude under adverse weather conditions was held on 12 – 13 October 2017 at the Singapore Aviation Academy. This workshop brought together 48 participants from major aircraft manufacturers, airlines, approved training organisations, the Federal Aviation Administration and Civil Aviation Authorities from Asia Pacific.  
6th World Civil Aviation Chief Executives Forum, 11 to 13 July 2017
The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) organised its 6th World Civil Aviation Chief Executives Forum (WCACEF) from 11 to 13 July 2017. The event was attended by over 150 aviation leaders from 75 countries and 14 international and regional organisations. Themed “Advancing Aviation; Fortifying Fundamentals”, the Forum discussed the core challenges facing the aviation industry and how leaders can seek opportunities to develop sustainable strategies to shape the future of aviation. 
SAA Aviation Insight Series on Systems Design Innovation in Aerospace Engineering and Beyond, 30 June 2017
On 30th June 2017, SAA held its 3rd Aviation Insight Series (AvIS) talk for the year, attracting some 35 attendees from the Singapore aviation industry. 
SAA re-certified as ICAO RTCE and Chairs TPSC, 11 April 2017
SAA has been re-certified as an ICAO Regional Training Centre of Excellence (RTCE) for the next three years. On 11 April 2017, the RTCE plaque was presented to SAA at the ICAO Global Aviation Training and TRAINAIR PLUS Symposium held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 11th to 13th April 2017. 
3rd Singapore Aviation Safety Seminars, 28 - 30 March 2017
SAA is proud to have worked with Flight Safety Foundation (FSF) to jointly organise the 3rd Annual Singapore Aviation Safety Seminars (SASS) from 28 to 30 March 2017. Over the three days, more than 140 aviation safety experts from 17 countries congregated at SAA to discuss and exchange ideas on new initiatives to improve global aviation safety.  
SAA Aviation Insight Series on Aviation Fatigue Risk Management Using the Human Factors PEAR Model Analysis, 27 March 2017
On 27 March 2017, SAA held its 2nd Aviation Insight Series (AvIS) talk for the year which attracted some 90 attendees from various stakeholders in the aviation industry. 
SAA Aviation Insight Series on Trends and Development in the Airline Sector in Southeast Asia, 23 March 2017
On 23 February 2017, SAA held its first Aviation Insight Series (AvIS) for 2017, which attracted some 60 participants. We were very fortunate to have, Mr. Brendan Sobie, Chief Analyst and Chief Representative of Southeast Asia for Centre of Aviation (CAPA), as our speaker. Ms Margaret Tan, Director of Air Transport, moderated the dialogue session. 
Industry Talks by SAA, 16 & 17 February 2017
In conjunction with the Inter Airport South East Asia 2017 held at Singapore Expo on 16th and 17th February 2017, the Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) organised its Industry Talks by SAA covering airside operations topics on Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) and Airfield Lighting Systems (ALS). Both talks were well received and attracted more than 200 local and international aviation professionals.
