Symposium on Airfield Infrastructure of Airports, 2 - 3 October 2017

SAA successfully conducted the inaugural run of the Symposium on Airfield Infrastructure of Airports – Engineering and Future Development (SAIA 2017) from 2 to 3 October 2017. The 2-day Symposium is supported by CAG and NUS.

More than 130 delegates attended the Symposium and 10 companies provided sponsorship for the event. A total of 18 speakers including Mr Phua Chai Teck, (D(ADP), CAAS), Mr Koh Ming Sue (MD(E&D), CAG), Mr Paul Lau (HKIA) and Mr Michael Meyers (FAA) shared on the innovative concepts in airfield infrastructure planning and development, including the engineering challenges in the construction of Changi Airport T5. The panel discussion featuring SMEs from Hong Kong and Singapore Changi Airport had generated intensive discussion amongst the audience.

Some of the comments received are:

  • Very good panel discussion. Thank you Ming Sue and Paul for asking good questions and sharing informative answers (Hsieh Ju Chun Jean, CAG)
  • The presentation by Mr Paul Lau on HKIA’s 3-runway system is very interesting and informative. (Anonymous)
