MITRE-CAAS Air Traffic Management Research and Development Centre Takes Shape in Singapore, 27 Jun 2014
The MITRE Corporation (MITRE) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) signed a seven-year contract today, with an option for a further three-year extension, to enable MITRE to establish an advanced technology research laboratory, focused on Air Traffic Management (ATM) and office in Singapore. 
Singapore’s First Air Traffic Management Research Institute Takes Shape, 5 Mar 2014
Singapore’s first Air Traffic Management Research Institute (ATMRI) is taking shape. Jointly established by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the ATMRI conducts research and development (R&D) to develop or adapt solutions to enhance air traffic management (ATM) in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.  
New taxiways to be built at Changi Airport, 17 Feb 2014
It was earlier announced that as part of the Changi Airport expansion plans, a new Terminal 5 will be constructed and a three-runway system implemented to accommodate long-term air traffic growth and support Singapore’s continued success as a global air hub.
