1. Can I book SAA’s conference facilities?

SAA conference facilities are open for external bookings, subject to availability. To book, please email to SAA staff, Ms Dian Ahmad at dian_ahmad@caas.gov.sg. Details of these facilities can be found here.

2. Can I borrow books from the SAA Resource Centre?

Yes, course participants and alumni are welcome to borrow books from the SAA Resource Centre, located situated at Level 1 of the main building (beside Multimedia Centre). The Centre also has a collection of e-books, accessible via a password login at http://site.ebrary.com/lib/saarc.

If you are an alumni of SAA and would like to access the e-books, you can login at our alumni webpage http://www.saa.com.sg/alumni and register with us under the “e-books” tab, so as to receive your e-books’ username and password.

3. Do you have Wi-fi and/or internet connection in SAA?

Wi-Fi networks are available within the premises of SAA.

4. Can I surf the internet and print out documents in SAA?

The computers at the SAA Multimedia Centre are open for participants’ use to surf the internet and print documents.

5. What are the recreational/sports facilities available at SAA and what are their opening hours?

Recreational facilities available at SAA include the following:

1 Training cum Swimming Pool (varying depth from 1.2 - 5.0m)
1 Tennis Court
1 Gymnasium
2 Squash Courts
2 Badminton Courts

The opening hours are as follows:

Swimming Pool Operating Hours

Mondays to Fridays: 8.30am to 7.00pm Saturdays: 8.30am to 1.00pm Sundays & Public Holidays: Closed

Other Recreational Facilities
Daily: 8:30am to 9.00pm * The recreational/sports facilities are open to course participants, SAA Alumni and SAA staff only. SAA Alumni who wish to use them are encouraged to check for availability and book in advance via email to Ms Han Juat Yee, Senior Executive (Corporate Communications & Alumni), at han_juat_yee@caas.gov.sg.

6. Can I use the recreational/sports facilities in SAA?

The recreational/sports facilities are open to course participants, SAA Alumni and SAA staff only.

SAA Alumni who wish to use them are encouraged to check for availability and book in advance via email to saa@caas.gov.sg

Mass Rapid Transit (MRT)
The MRT in Singapore is a modern, air-conditioned passenger train service with stations all over the island. There are four main lines – the North-South line from Marina Bay to Jurong East, the East-West line from Changi Airport/Pasir Ris to Joo Koon, the North-East line from Harbour Front to Punggol and the new Circle line from Bishan to Dhoby Ghaut interchange.
Trains operate at intervals of between two and a half minutes and eight minutes from 0530 hrs until 0030 hrs daily. For precise train arrival/departure timings, please check at respective MRT stations. Travelling on the MRT is cheap, with rides ranging from S$1.00 to a maximum of S$2.20.

Bus
SBS Transit and SMRT Corporation Ltd (SMRT) both operate regular bus services. Ezlink cards, which are valid on the MRT as well as bus services operated by SBS Transit and SMRT, are available at most MRT stations. To get to SAA by bus, you can take SBS Transit buses numbered 2, 9, 19, 29, 59, 89 and 109.

7. Is there a cafeteria at SAA?

SAA has a cafeteria which is open to course participants, guests, visitors and staff. It operates from 8am to 4pm on Mondays to Fridays. The SAA cafeteria is open to course participants, staff and guests/visitors of SAA only.

The Cafeteria at SAA also caters to Muslim and Vegetarian participants.

8. Is there a prayer room for Muslims at SAA?

Yes, there are separate prayer rooms for males and females at SAA that course participants may access.

9. Is there a store that sells souvenirs at SAA?

Yes, there is a SAA Souvenir Store located at the Resource Centre which opens on every Monday and Wednesday from 11am - 2pm (except Public Holidays). To view the list of items available for purchase, please click here.

10. Is there in-campus accommodation in SAA?

There is no in-campus accommodation at SAA for course participants. Participants who require SAA’s assistance to make hotel reservation may advise SAA accordingly to make special arrangements with selected hotels that offer special room rates.
