On 3 November 2014, SAA celebrated the Launch of the Master of Science (MSc) in Air Transport Management conducted by Cranfield University in association with SAA.
Mr Yap Ong Heng, Director-General, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and Professor Graham Braithwaite, Director, Transport Systems, and Professor of Safety and Accident Investigation, Cranfield University unveiled a plaque and exchanged mementos as part of the Celebratory Launch.
Following the signing of an MOU in February 2012, both SAA and Cranfield University have been working closely together to see to the fruition of the MSc in Air Transport Management.
The launch of the Master of Science in Air Transport Management is another important milestone for SAA in expanding graduate and diploma programmes to serve the education and training needs of the aviation sector, especially in the Asia Pacific region. The inaugural programme commenced on 29 September 2014 with a cohort of fourteen students from Singapore, Malaysia, Germany, Canada and Tanzania.
